Oh what a mess!
24 hours later: some progress!
We have opted to travel with a back pack - which we'll need for our walk - plus a carry-on size suitcase as the Japanese apparently discourage the use of large suitcases due to crowding. I have to say, this is proving to be quite the challenge given we have walking poles and boots to fit in.
I have reached this point so far - minus boots. Hmmm ... what to leave out???
With boots in - 10 kg. Backpack 5 kg. This will be re-distributed once we have gone through customs in Japan as we have to take meds in backpack. Plus boots.
Basically I have nothing bar the clothes I’ll be wearing - plus hiking gear and toiletries. VERY minimalist!
Weather Watch (still!!):
Temperatures are in the range 14-27 deg C. Lots of rain too. Hmmm.
